The Oregon Trail is a very fun game and it works fine. I love this game so much and its very historically accurate. All you really have to do is just reload the page a couple times and it should work fine. So I've been seen a lot of people writing, "I couldn't get the game to work!" You can only carry 100 lbs of meat back to the wagon. Once you get 2 deer/1 bear/1 buffalo, stop. 4th you likely wouldn't make it to Oregon before winter. In real life, if you didn't make it to Independence Rock before Jul. Try to get to Independence Rock by July 4th. That way you have some extra time to get to Oregon. Stay at strenuous and slow down the first time that someone gets sick or you hit a rough trail. Do not go too much faster unless you're falling behind even then, don't go at Grueling speed. Plus, you can buy more supplies at the fort. Even though it will eat time, you have low chances of making it across the Green River (I drowned everybody on that river and gave up the very first time). At the first fork in the road, take the route to Fort Bridger. If you get to Snake River, have extra clothing to trade to the Shoshoni Indians so they can guide you across the river. Bad water and little water will hurt your health if your health is Poor, do the same thing once you get to a good area. Once your health gets back up to Fair, set the food back to whatever you were originally feeding them and keep going. Should someone in your party get sick, feed your people the maximum amount of food (Filling) and go hunting a couple of times. If you happen to find an abandoned wagon, you are likely to get more and you can buy more bullets at the forts. Don't caulk the wagon if you have more than 6 oxen and/or 900 lbs of food. If you feel that it is necessary, hire a ferry. I recommend not buying more than 1000 lbs of food when you first leave Independence, Missouri. Even though your score won't be the best, it'll be a little easier considering you get $1600 to start off with. Here are a few tips for those struggling:
